I have said this so many times but I LOVE TEXAS!

Or maybe it's the people that make this place so great.  Curtis Stephan invited me to share in their annual summer concert held in their courtyard.  Everyone was so worried because as we all know it is very hot in Texas.  My host family Jack and Cindy Mattews were so wonderful to me and I found out that Cindy and I have so much in common in terms of the way we look at how God is calling us Christian women to live out our ministries and vocations.  We spoke long and deep and I felt as if I were at home.

The concert was beautiful and interesting and God took care of the weather.  Cindy and I went around town asking for prayers and they were answered.  God loves His Daughters.  There was such a wonderful wind blowing that night and St. Ann's is such a vibrant parish.  On Sunday I helped the LifeTeen choir out and had such a great Eucharistic time.  I'm glad they let me sing but they didn't need me.  Curtis Stephan leads that ministry and you can tell.  These people are serious about the work done with young people.  I hope to return some time in the future.

I also got to hang out with the Manibusan clan.  What struck me right away with this family is how much they love each other and how easy it is for them to show it.  I was blessed just by being around them.  Plus they took me shopping! (-:  Seriously though, I am so grateful for their hospitality and love.
